About the role
No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Ensuring service delivery remains fully compliant with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act and related regulations.
- Being the responsible officer in the absence of the Manager/Deputy Manager.
- Administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, to service users and assisting in managing a safe system for medication control and administration.
- Providing total care to clients according to care plans.
- Offering emotional support and reassurance, especially during changes or family crises.
- Escorting clients out of the establishment for activities like leisure trips.
- Completing daily records accurately.
- Undertaking cleaning, laundry, and dining room services.
Previous experience in a care home is essential, along with qualities like kindness, patience, respect, and resilience.
