Ysgol Gymunedol Penparc is recruiting a Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (Behaviour/Guidance/Support) to join our team from 2/2/ until 17/7/. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both in and beyond the classroom.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- Use specialist skills and experience to deliver outreach support and assist with Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Support learning activities, monitor pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
- Help create a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families, and contribute to wider school life including trips and activities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with or caring for children of relevant age.
- Holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills and is confident using ICT to support learning.
- Understands child development, learning strategies, and relevant policies.
- Is flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has first aid training or is willing to undertake it.
