The following is an advert for a Deputy Headteacher where the ability to converse through the medium of Welsh and English is essential.
Ysgol Gymunedol Penparc is looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Deputy Headteacher (permanent) who will provide support and assistance to the Headteacher and help manage the school effectively and efficiently. The Deputy Headteacher will be responsible for the school two days a week during the Headteacher's absence. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a commitment to teaching, and expertise in the area of ALN would be advantageous.
The individual will:
- influence colleagues by setting an example as an organised and conscientious role model;
- be ready to work as part of a strong senior management team;
- promote high achievement standards for all;
- consult and offer constructive advice to the Headteacher in areas that would benefit the school;
- connect with staff, pupils, and parents to encourage an inclusive atmosphere and effective work ethos;
- be competent to deputise on behalf of the Headteacher in situations arising due to weekly absences;
- lead on an area of expertise within strategic plans and processes for evaluating and improving the school.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

- an understanding of effective teaching and learning practices and a strong commitment to continue developing them throughout the whole school;
