As the Funko & Loungefly Buyer, you will be instrumental in shaping the product assortment and driving commercial success across Funko’s global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) platforms - Funko.com, FunkoEurope.com, and Loungefly.com. This is a product led role that combines product development, managing product selection, forecasting, inventory, and promotional planning, ensuring an engaging customer experience through strategic buying and merchandising. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop culture, a strong analytical mindset, and a proven track record in e-commerce buying within the collectible or toy industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Product Development & Licensing
    • Lead product selection and development for DTC-exclusive items in collaboration with Product Development, Licensing, and Creative.
    • Own the creation and execution of the monthly buy plan, balancing exclusive development with mainline selections aligned to category and fandom goals.
    • Own the strategic planning and execution of special projects including limited edition and capsule collections, seasonal exclusives, high-heat fandom launches, and collectible-driven programs.
    • Partner with Licensing to identify emerging IPs and franchise expansions, proposing innovative product formats and exclusives.
    • Influence the Global Line Plan Architecture with trend-led proposals and customer insights gathered through direct platform performance.
  • Sales & Inventory Management
    • Manage product lifecycle across platforms with a focus on maximizing full-price sell-through and minimizing markdowns.
    • Review sales performance across channels, managing daily/weekly/monthly sales forecasts based on product launches in collaboration with Planning and Merchandising.
    • Oversee the Global Range Plan, coordinating with Marketing and Site Merchandising to ensure new product launches are supported with impactful storytelling and campaign assets.
    • Conduct and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, identifying sales trends and opportunities.
    • Lead DTC “Big Bets,” curating strategic launches that drive traffic, conversion, and fan engagement.
  • Promotions & Marketing Integration
    • Develop & implement the global promotional strategy, sending briefs to Site Team and Marketing for execution.
    • Manage the Homepage Plan, plotting exclusive and key product launches by week.
    • Oversee management of the DTC Global Price Book by platform and territory.
    • Oversee monthly product markdowns along with Merchandising to optimize inventory and profitability.
  • Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with internal teams to address procurement needs, including special projects and inventory challenges.
    • Manage end-of-life product strategies, including License Lock and Vaulting processes.
    • Provide Estimated Order Quantities (EOQ) by line for Supply and Planning teams.

  • Proven ability to drive category growth online, with a results-focused approach.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make commercial decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to take initiative and adopt a flexible, problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and globally, aligning with teams across multiple time zones.
  • Passion for pop culture and an in-depth understanding of Funko’s brand, products, and customer base.
