Turn complex electronic designs into the hardware that powers the next generation of AI compute. As a PCB Design Engineer, you will help deliver printed circuit boards that enable Graphcore’s advanced AI systems. Your work will directly support products designed to unlock the next wave of machine intelligence. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will create PCB layouts, perform design checks and prepare manufacturing documentation. You will collaborate with electronics, mechanical, signal integrity, manufacturing and test teams to turn design intent into reliable hardware. This role offers the chance to build your expertise on technically demanding products while contributing to technology that will shape the future of AI.

The PCB Design team sits within our Hardware Engineering Group and works across the development of Graphcore’s hardware systems. The team transforms electrical designs into manufacturable, reliable and well documented PCB layouts. You will work closely with engineers across multiple disciplines to solve technical challenges together. Decisions are driven by engineering insight, careful review and shared ownership of quality. We value curiosity, clear communication and continuous learning. You will be supported to develop your skills while taking ownership of meaningful work from the beginning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Practical experience or formal training in PCB design, PCB layout or electronics design
  • Familiarity with PCB layout workflows, design checks and manufacturing outputs
  • Experience using ECAD tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and quality
  • Ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly and work effectively across engineering disciplines
  • Interest in developing your expertise in complex electronics and AI hardware systems
