We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our team! This is a hands-on, high-impact role reporting directly to the Finance Director of the Group, offering exposure across the full finance cycle and genuine involvement in supporting business decision-making.

Role Purpose:
You’ll play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support quarterly and annual shareholder reporting
- Assist the Finance Director with reporting and presentations to senior stakeholders
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Provide insight to support cost control and business performance
- Partner with internal teams to improve financial understanding
- Identify and deliver process improvements across finance
What Will Make You Successful:
You will be an experienced finance professional, either fully ACCA/CIMA qualified or currently working towards qualification. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, with a focus on data integrity, reporting accuracy, and attention to detail. A proactive problem-solver, you will be results-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll take pride in producing high-quality, reliable financial insights and be motivated to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and support informed business decision-making through robust reporting and analysis.
Essential:
- Strong experience in month-end processes and financial reporting
- Solid technical knowledge of P&L and balance sheet management
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team
Desirable:
- Background in management accounting or financial controlling
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- SME or owner-managed business experience
- SAP or Microsoft Dynamics knowledge
- Exposure to shareholder or board-level reporting
Working Conditions:
This role operates in a food manufacturing environment with regular time on the factory floor and exposure to noise, dust (grain), moving machinery, temperature variation, and manual handling activities. Flexibility is required to support shift teams, critical incidents, shutdowns, trials, and business needs.
