A day in the life of a National Account Executive
- Own and agree the customer baselines with Sales Analyst at the required customer/EAN level as a base for building the plan.
- Own and develop promotional plans, including revenue, trade spend and promotion activation details such as timing, mechanics and estimated sales uplift.
- Where relevant develop and continuously improve customer investment plans with a pay‑for‑performance mindset.
- Support the timely and accurate external execution of Customer Plans with the Customer Business Team, providing excellent communication to customers and completing all required documentation.
- Work with Category and Marketing teams to facilitate best‑in‑class category strategies and activation; shape selling stories and in‑market activation plans.
- Request completion of relevant customer admin with the Sales Admin Team via the Sales Admin Portal (Samples, New Line Forms, Artwork, Purchase Orders).
- Support timely preparation and input into all relevant internal planning processes (weekly, monthly and quarterly), utilising multiple data sets to build performance insights.
- Complete promotional pre‑ and post‑evaluation, including commentary and proof of execution, and optimise in conjunction with SRM to drive ROI and inform QIR.
- Manage trade spend actuals, attend trade spend review, and support SFE with accrual management and changes.
- Communicate with field ops for in‑market execution, enabling field teams at points of purchase; provide briefs and selling stories.

To be successful, you will ideally have commercial experience within the FMCG sector, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset. You should be comfortable working accurately and with attention to detail, and you must be able to build relationships across the team and with stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs.
- Use insightful information and be naturally analytical.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and financial situations.
- Experience in forecasting, sales and negotiation is beneficial.
- Comfortable working collaboratively and cross‑functionally.
- Organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads.
- Curious, with initiative to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
