About the role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and scale our engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can balance team leadership, execution, and strategic planning. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other departments to ensure delivery of high-impact, scalable solutions aligned with our company goals. This role offers excellent progression opportunities to Director/Head of/VP.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products.
- Coach and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Partner with product and design teams to define technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee technical execution, including architecture decisions, code quality, and infrastructure scaling.
- Manage team capacity, hiring plans, and performance reviews.
- Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices in development processes, testing, and deployment.
- Support career development for engineers through regular feedback, growth planning, and learning opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executives.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in an engineering management or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and scaling high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical background in modern cloud application development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex products in partnership with product managers/directors.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience working in regulated environments.
