This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe\’s fastest-growing healthtech startups. Cera Care is Europe\’s largest digital-first provider of home healthcare, leveraging AI and data analytics to improve lives and reduce healthcare costs. With 10,000+ staff and $300 million in revenue, we need a Senior Analytics Engineer to strengthen our core analytics capabilities on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The Opportunity
In this pivotal role you will build, maintain, and optimize our analytics infrastructure, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across Cera Care. You will also drive the adoption of Generative AI to accelerate data product delivery.
What you’ll do
- Design & Develop Data Models: Collaborate with the team to design and implement robust, scalable data models in BigQuery.
- Build ETL/ELT Pipelines: Develop and maintain pipelines using BigQuery and Dataform.
- Ensure Data Quality & Governance: Implement data quality checks, monitoring with Metaplane, and champion governance best practices.
- Collaborate Cross-functionally: Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
- Performance Optimisation: Continuously improve data models and pipelines for efficiency, cost, and performance.
- North Star & Best Practices: Define best practices for data modelling, SQL, and analytics engineering.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and dictionaries.
- Tooling & Innovation: Evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance capabilities.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert support for data-related issues.
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in data-focused roles, with at least 2+ as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar.
- Expert-level SQL skills and a proven track record of complex queries.
- Strong experience with GCP services, especially BigQuery.
- Proficiency with Dataform (or dbt), a key requirement.
- Experience designing dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake schemas).
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles and automated pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A self-sufficient, high autonomy delivery mindset.
