We\’re recruiting experienced dedicated and compassionate Care Workers to join our nurse-led team at Cera to provide care to our clients in and around the Newton Mearns (G77) area.

You\’ll be providing care and support to a gentleman who has suffered a severe incomplete cervical cord injury at level C1/2 resulting in total paralysis of all four limbs and the diaphragm, who\’s specific needs include:

  • Fully ventilated 24 hours a day and uses both a dry and wet system of ventilation delivered via tracheostomy
  • Receives all nutrition and fluids via Mic-Key Button tube
  • Elimination managed by suprapubic catheterisation and bowel regime

Shifts include

  • 12 hour shifts covering days from 6.45am to 7pm
  • 12 hour shifts covering nights from 6.45pm to 7am

We provide a comprehensive clinical training and induction programme, overseen by professional nurses, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to succeed in your role working as a Care Worker in the Specialist Team. We are looking for people who have excellent people skills, are great communicators and can work effectively in a team as well as independently.
