About the role

This is a wide-ranging, ambitious role for a Qualified or Part‑Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) professional. You will be a key part of our Colchester‑based team, providing essential financial oversight for our Operating Companies (Op Co).

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Produce and review entity management accounts, including branch P&Ls and variance analysis.
  • Month-End Mastery: Oversee the month‑end close (journals, accruals, accrued income, and prepayments) and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Inter-company: Manage inter‑company journals and IC account reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Audit: Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and ensure effective operational controls.
  • Strategic Support: Provide commercial insight and ad‑hoc analysis to support business decision‑making.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualification: Qualified or Part‑Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with strong UK accounting standards knowledge.
  • Experience: Proven track record in management accounts, judgemental accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Systems: Oracle NetSuite experience is highly desirable (but we can train on this). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Audit: Experience working alongside auditors for statutory completions.
