About the role
We are looking for a qualified / part-qualified ACA / ACCA to join our Colchester-based team as a Group Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Senior Group Financial Accountant, you will be a key pillar in our year-end cycle. Your core focus will be the production of high-quality statutory accounts across our diverse group entities, managing the audit process, and ensuring our tax compliance data is seamless.
Responsibilities
- Group Consolidations: An understanding of consolidation mechanics, including intercompany eliminations and group reporting.
- Tax: An understanding of UK Corporate Tax to assist with the preparation of year-end tax packs.
- Statutory accounts: Production of statutory accounts.
- Audit Management: Contact for external auditors to facilitate a smooth year-end process.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Qualified Accountant: ACA / ACCA qualified / part-qualified with a strong technical background.
- Standards Expertise: Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) is essential - either from practical use or from studying.
- Group Consolidations: An understanding of consolidation mechanics, including intercompany eliminations and group reporting.
