About the role
This is a wide-ranging, ambitious role for a Qualified or Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) professional. You will be a key part of our Colchester-based team, providing essential financial oversight for our Operating Companies (Op Co).
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Produce and review entity management accounts, including branch P&Ls and variance analysis.
- Month-End Mastery: Oversee the month-end close (journals, accruals, accrued income, and prepayments) and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Inter-company: Manage inter-company journals and IC account reconciliations.
- Compliance & Audit: Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and ensure effective operational controls.
- Strategic Support: Provide commercial insight and ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Excellence Qualification: Qualified or Part-Qualified (ACCA / CIMA) with strong UK accounting standards knowledge.
- Experience: Proven track record in management accounts, judgmental accruals, and variance analysis.
- Systems: Oracle NetSuite experience is highly desirable (but we can train on this). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Audit: Experience working alongside auditors for statutory completions.
