Teaching Assistant

Daily rate: £92.59 – £110, depending on experience
CER Education is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Huyton and the surrounding Knowsley area from September 2026.
This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in the classroom. Whether you already have school-based experience or are wanting to start a new career in education, we can offer flexible day-to-day supply work as well as longer-term placements to suit your availability and career plans.
Role responsibilities
- Working alongside the class teacher to support pupils during lessons and learning activities.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help children stay engaged and make progress.
- Helping to prepare resources, organise classroom activities and maintain a welcoming learning environment.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils with classroom routines, break times and transitions.
- Assisting children with additional needs where required, promoting confidence, independence and participation.
