About the Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by:
- Providing classroom support across a range of subjects
- Working with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning
- Supporting students to remain engaged and focused during lessons
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a productive learning environment
- Supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities
- Contributing to the wider school community and student wellbeing
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A passion for education and supporting student achievementA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Experience within education, coaching, youth work or support work is desirable but not essential.
