About the Role
As a PE Technician, you will provide practical and organisational support to the PE department, helping lessons run safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and clearing down PE equipment and facilities
- Maintaining, checking, and organising sports equipment
- Supporting PE staff during practical lessons when required
- Ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use
- Assisting with fixtures, events, and extracurricular activities
- Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with young people, sport, or in a school environment
- A practical, hands‑on approach and good organisational skills
- An interest in sport, fitness, or physical education
- Ability to follow health & safety guidance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Ability to travel to schools across Sheffield (driving preferred but not essential)
