CER Education are expanding our team of Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Dartford and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals working in education as well as recent graduates looking to gain classroom experience, explore different school settings, and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are currently recruiting in: Dartford, Kent, Medway, Gravesend, and Maidstone.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality learning continues in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a positive, productive environment
- Encouraging student participation and engagement during lessons
- Supporting pupils with IEPs and SEN requirements where needed
- Recording lesson feedback and student progress for teaching staff
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working in a secondary school or youth setting
- A good understanding of the national curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence managing classroom behaviour
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Ability to drive is preferred, or reliable access to public transport
