The focus for the Work Experience Manager would be:
- Maintaining the relationships with the existing employers who are supporting us currently for work experience.
- Working with the client base who enlist our WEX services and ensuring they are kept up to date with progress and reporting.
- Achieving and exceeding all targets and company standards of performance.
- Ensuring the team are identifying, securing and delivering work placement opportunities for students, across multi-curriculum areas, in line with targets.
- Developing and maintaining long standing and strategic relationships with Employers, Schools, Colleges and Students.
- Continually developing CER Careers Advisory Services market presence and reputation whilst enhancing knowledge and understanding of the education and employability sector.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Prospecting and cold calling to employers and businesses to identify and secure suitable work placement opportunities.
- Building and developing ongoing relationships with employers to promote links between the education sector, businesses and CER.
- Successfully presenting work placement programmes to young people/students.
- Liaising closely with college/school staff and their students to best match them to suitable work placement opportunities.
- Knowing the exact status of “live” work placements to source and confirm placements of your accounts at any time.
- Demonstrating the effective, efficient and accurate use of recording data in the execution of daily tasks.
- Attending relevant client meetings, networking and employer fairs as appropriate.
- Conducting Health and Safety paperwork including ELI confirmation.
- Working cooperatively as part of a team.
- Representing CER in a professional manner at all times.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Completing weekly KPI reports and providing them to the CER SLT.
- Undertaking any other additional duties, as appropriate, required by the Team Delivery Manager.
- Identifying and contacting new potential companies who are able to offer work placements.
- Developing trust, rapport, and credibility with new contacts to promote the work experience benefit.
- Encouraging gaining extra referrals for additional work experience placements once new contacts have been secured.
