Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our network of support staff for schools in Doncaster.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping students with their learning, development, and well‑being.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to teachers, helping students with their learning.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Offer 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support students in their personal, social, and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour when required.
- Monitor and record student progress as directed by the class teacher.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (essential).
- A passion for supporting young people in their learning and development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
