A leading international tax advisory firm is seeking an experienced US/UK Tax Manager to join its growing team. The firm specialises in cross-border US tax advisory, planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, funds, trusts, family offices and multinational businesses with US tax obligations.
With an international client base spanning more than 30 countries, the firm advises clients on complex US and international tax matters and offers exposure to a broad range of cross-border tax issues. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong US tax professional looking to work in a specialist environment with a diverse international client portfolio and clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Review complex US tax returns and related compliance work.
- Delegate and oversee work performed by junior team members, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and support the delivery of bespoke advisory projects.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing both technical and professional guidance.
- Support client billing and engagement management processes.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across specialist tax teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- 5–8 years' experience in US individual, dual US/UK personal tax, or US corporate tax.
- Experience gained within a Big 4, Top 20, or specialist international tax advisory environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of US taxation and cross-border tax matters.
- US CPA or Enrolled Agent qualification (additional tax qualifications advantageous).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and competing priorities.
- Additional language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
