M&A Tax, Associate Director in London

Overview

In this role you will lead buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and M&A tax structuring, advising PE and corporate clients through the deal lifecycle. You will manage client relationships, deliverables, and cross-functional reviews of tax reports and legal docs. You will mentor junior team members and drive business development, proposals, and client growth. This role combines high-impact tax advisory with leadership across projects, budgets, and deadlines, within a London-based advisory team.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and M&A tax structuring
• Advise private equity and corporate clients on tax implications throughout the deal lifecycle
• Manage client relationships, meetings and transaction deliverables
• Review tax reports, financial models and legal transaction documentation
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members
• Drive business development, prepare proposals and build client relationships
• Manage project budgets, billing and deadlines

Key requirements

• ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent qualification
• Strong UK tax technical knowledge and advisory experience
• Experience in UK corporation tax, M&A tax and/or tax due diligence
• Proven client management and project leadership skills
• Strong commercial awareness and business development experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
