cer Financial are working alongside an exciting international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Counterparty Credit Risk Manager VP to work with them on a permanent basis.
The responsibilities of the Counterparty Credit Risk Manager VP will include:
- Led Trading Credit Risk management across London and EMEA, ensuring timely risk decisions and regional oversight
- Managed and enhanced Trading Credit Risk Appetite, monitoring, reporting, and governance frameworks
- Oversaw daily counterparty risk monitoring, exposure analysis, and escalation of key risk drivers
- Contributed to Credit & Counterparty Risk Committees with risk reporting, commentary, and recommendations
- Maintained and enhanced risk policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with BCBS guidelines
- Worked closely with Front Office, senior stakeholders, and regional entities to ensure consistent risk management practices
- Automated exposure monitoring and reporting processes to improve efficiency and controls
- Reviewed and approved trading credit risk documentation, including ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, and MSFTA agreements
- Managed large derivatives, fixed income, and securities financing portfolios across EMEA
- Provided leadership, mentoring, and support to junior trading credit risk staff
The successful candidate will have:
- Counterparty credit risk management expertise (Potential Exposure, Wrong Way Risk, Stress Testing)
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivative products (Bonds, Repos, Derivatives)
- Advanced Excel and basic programming skills for analysis and automation
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and data visualisation tools
- Credit analysis experience across corporates, financial institutions, hedge funds, NBFIs, and SPVs
- Understanding of collateral, master agreements, and risk mitigation techniques
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Prism, GBR, and Power BI dashboards
