Audit Director/Partner – Insurance

Paying up to £150k base + bonus + package
Main duties of this role:
- The incumbent will act as the SME in the insurance sector in audit and related assurance work, with previous experience working with insurance carriers and/or brokers.
- Managing the planning, on-site running and completion of a portfolio of assignments, taking the lead on complex issues.
- Helping to win new business by identifying new business opportunities both in audit and outside of audit.
The responsibilities of an Audit Director/Partner – Insurance will include:
- Overseeing an allocated client portfolio, ensuring proper servicing and timely completion of work.
- Taking lead on forming audit judgments when signing off audit opinions (with Responsible Individual status).
- Anticipating significant accounting issues based on experience and knowledge of other companies; proactively recommending solutions.
- Challenging clients on key financial reporting judgments, with reference to other specialists where necessary.
- Managing audit teams and reviewing their work.
- Ensuring compliance with internal (methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.
- Identifying business opportunities and supporting initiatives to develop our team and practice.
The Audit Director/Partner – Insurance will have:
- Proven auditing skills in the Insurance Sector, particularly in respect of insurance carriers and/or brokers (essential).
- RI status held or ability to demonstrate RI status can be achieved in a short timescale (essential).
- Leadership skills, winning new business, strong technical skills, report writing, team management, task prioritizing.
