Special Needs Teaching Assistant | Bedford | £95 to £110 per day
CER are looking to add to our team of Special Needs Teaching Assistants to fulfil temporary positions within our partnership schools across the Bedford area. As a temporary Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students across a wide range of special needs ranging from Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities to more Moderate Learning Disabilities and Difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide variety of schools, gaining valuable experience or trying new settings to find your dream job. You will be contributing to our supportive and inclusive school community and making a positive impact on the lives of students.
We are also keen to speak to Early Career Teaching Assistants who have just graduated and are looking to kick start their careers. We have a number of exciting opportunities available, with full support to help you transition into the classroom for 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting lessons across the curriculum while helping to differentiate and adapt where appropriate given students\\\’ EHCPs
- Adapt to different school environments showing a flexibility and resilience
- Utilise a variety of support methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the curriculum
Ideally you will have
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Previous experience supporting in a UK based school is essential for this role and references will need to be submitted
- Experience supporting special needs learners
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
