CER are looking to add to our team of Special Needs Teachers to fulfil temporary positions within one of our partnership schools in Bedford. As a temporary Special Needs Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students across a wide range of special needs ranging from Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities to more Moderate Learning Disabilities and Difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide variety of schools, gaining valuable experience or trying new settings to find your dream job. You will be contributing to our supportive and inclusive school community and making a positive impact on the lives of students.

We are also keen to speak to ECTs (Early Career Teachers) who are looking to kick start their careers. We have a number of exciting opportunities available, with full support to help you transition into the classroom for 2025. We are also looking to recruit in the following locations for our partnership schools; Luton, Hertfordshire and Welwyn Garden City.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum while differentiating and adapting where appropriate given students' EHCPs
  • Adapt to different school environments showing flexibility and resilience
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the English curriculum
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Further Education qualification (QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience teaching in a UK based school is essential for this role and references will need to be submitted
  • Experience teaching and supporting special needs learners
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
