We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in East London. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across a range of age groups in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND, including those with EHCPs and additional learning needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development through 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Promote independence and confidence in learners while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of strategies to support students with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or other learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to commute reliably to East London.
