CER are looking to appoint a full time Food Technology teacher to begin from September 2026 and continue until at least Easter 2027. There is a possibility this role could continue for the full 2026/27 academic year. The school is based in Ormskirk and has an excellent reputation within the local community. With a strong and stable Senior Leadership Team as well as an experienced Technology department, you will be given all the support you require to provide the best possible teaching and learning environment.
The school are interested in ECT's, teachers in the early stages of their career as well as highly experienced teachers. You would be required to teach KS3 and KS4 and take responsibility for the planning and assessment of your classes. This role will also involve practical as well as theory based lessons.
Depending on experience, you could get rates of pay between £170 and £270 per day (you would be paid to scale on MPS/UPS).
The ideal teacher will:
- Hold UK QTS or equivalent
- Experience of teaching Food Technology up to KS3/4
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Be able to quickly build effective and positive relationships
