We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Kitchen Porter to become a key part of our growing team.
This is far more than a washing‑up position.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene throughout the kitchen while supporting the chefs to ensure every service runs smoothly.
- Your responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen porter duties and maintain an organised pot wash area.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery are cleaned to a high standard.
- Receive and correctly store deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, storage rooms and waste areas.
- Manage recycling and refuse according to health and safety standards.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure HACCP procedures are followed.
- Help maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Support the kitchen team before, during and after service.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter (Head KP or senior experience preferred).
- Excellent organisation and time management.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Good spoken English.
