MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To support the Conversion & Corrugator Cell Managers to ensure the machines are maintained in a safe and operational condition and capable of producing product to the highest standard of quality and quantity for our customer requirements as well as developing a continuous improvement environment and culture. You will be accountable for you and your colleagues to create a safe working environment. Working as part of a team, you will work with other departments and key employees, assist with PPMs, continuous improvement projects, downtime analysis and other project work for our ‘Just in time” processes which follows the BRCGS accreditation. You will also assist with cleaning tasks and support improvement initiatives as and when they arise.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead by example to maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety across the site.
- Support the Cell, Machine & Shift Managers/Team Leaders with their day to day running of the machines.
- Follow written instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
- Adhere to quality checks, maintaining the highest standard for our customer base.
- Spot issues and communicate quickly and clearly.
- Work with our maintenance teams and assist with repairs if required.
- Contribute to hitting our waste targets.
- Keep a clean and tidy working area.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
- Good communication and IT skills.
- Candidates must be over the age of 18.
- Willing to complete the NVQ Level 2 qualification in Lean Manufacturing.
