Business Development AssistantLocation: Office-based at V Works, Village Hotel, MaidstoneHours: Part-time, 20 hours per weekSalary: £16,000 per annum + uncapped commissionAbout the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Assistant to join our growing team within the events industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing directly to business growth.You'll be based at V Works, the coworking space within Village Hotel Maidstone. As part of the role, you'll receive a complimentary Village Hotel gym membership and free on-site parking.While we are ideally looking for an immediate start, we are happy to wait for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch industries and identify potential leads and opportunitiesGenerate and qualify new business opportunities through LinkedIn, email, phone, and networkingBuild rapport and develop relationships with prospective clientsUse LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and engage decision-makersManage and update your leads in our HubSpot CRM systemWork towards agreed KPIs and performance targetsAttend trade shows, networking events, and client meetings when requiredOrganise and manage your own diary and workloadStay up to date with trends within the events industry and confidently discuss these with clientsCreate and maintain consistent LinkedIn content and activityIdentify new opportunities and emerging marketsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or a similar roleExperience using LinkedIn Sales NavigatorExperience with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot, or a willingness to learnStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA confident and professional approach to outreachSelf-motivated, organised, and able to work independentlyFinancially motivated and target-drivenComfortable working towards KPIs and performance objectivesPackage and Benefits£16,000 annual salary based on 20 hours per week£50 commission for every qualified lead meeting booked2.6% commission on the first converted booking per leadUncapped commission structureMonthly bonus incentives for achieving targetsComplimentary Village Hotel gym membershipFree on-site parkingCareer development within a growing businessIf you're ambitious, commercially minded, and enjoy connecting with people, we'd love to hear from you.
