We are looking for an experienced senior Data Architect to join a growing Data & Analytics practice within a professional services environment. This is a strategic and client-facing role, combining deep technical expertise with consulting, leadership, and solution design. You will play a key role in shaping data strategies, designing modern cloud platforms, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
An experienced Data Architect who can confidently lead client engagements, design scalable data platforms, and align technical solutions with business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data architecture across client engagements
- Design modern data platforms using Lakehouse and Medallion architectures
- Translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions
- Architect Azure-based data platforms (Databricks, ADF, Fabric, Purview)
- Define data standards, governance, and best practices
- Ensure data platforms are designed in line with GDPR and data protection requirements, including anonymisation, access control, and secure data handling
- Design batch, near real-time, and real-time analytics solutions
- Enable BI, AI, and advanced analytics use cases
- Support pre-sales, solution design, and client proposals
- Mentor engineers and analysts within the practice
Mandatory Requirements
- Extensive experience in Data Architecture & Solution Design
- Strong expertise in Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Fabric, Purview)
- Experience designing enterprise data platforms and warehouses
- Strong knowledge of data modelling (Kimball, Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0, SCD)
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data processing
- Strong Power BI, SQL, and analytics experience
- Proficiency in Python and T-SQL
- Proven client-facing and stakeholder management experience
- Strong understanding of data governance and GDPR principles within data architecture
Desirable
- Experience with AI / Machine Learning / Copilot solutions
- Background in consulting or professional services
- Experience in regulated industries (public sector, finance)
- Azure / Databricks certifications
