  • Improve literacy and numeracy through applied learning
  • See realistic career and progression pathways

Your support will play a meaningful role in strengthening both their skillset and self-belief.

What are we looking for? We are seeking someone with experience working with young people in education, mentoring or community settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Confidence supporting practical, hands-on learning (construction/engineering knowledge desirable but not essential)
  • A good standard of English and mathematics, with the ability to reinforce literacy and numeracy within sessions
  • Experience delivering or supporting employability and personal development sessions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young people from diverse backgrounds

  • Support the delivery of construction and engineering workshops
  • Assist learners in developing safe and structured practical skills
  • Lead or support employability sessions (CV writing, interview skills, workplace expectations)
  • Provide literacy and numeracy reinforcement within practical tasks
  • Offer mentoring and pastoral support to young people
  • Help maintain a positive, safe and engaging learning environment

Some sessions may be delivered independently, particularly employability or skills-based workshops. The key outcome is ensuring a structured, supportive and enriching experience that builds confidence, practical skills and realistic progression pathways.
