Job Description Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence support. Assist service users with mobility, transfers, and the use of mobility aids. Support with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures. Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where required. Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment. Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting wellbeing and reducing social isolation. Encourage service users to remain as independent as possible and support them with daily activities. Follow individual care plans and respect each person's preferences, choices, culture, and dignity. Observe and report any changes in a service user's physical or emotional wellbeing to the appropriate healthcare professional or senior staff member. Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided. Communicate effectively with service users, relatives, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety, confidentiality, and other relevant care policies and procedures. Respond appropriately to emergencies and seek medical assistance when necessary. Essential Skills and Qualities: Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
