Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents during night shifts.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about person‑centred care and committed to maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.

Summary of Responsibilities

To plan, monitor and deliver the highest standards of personalised care to residents, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, and that each individual’s rights to privacy, independence and choice are upheld.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement nursing care plans, providing the highest level of personal care and attention to residents.
  • Ensure all interactions are polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
  • Comply with all statutory and legal requirements such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standards Act.
  • Follow correct accident and incident reporting procedures to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
  • Safeguard residents from abuse, reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Provide and supervise the delivery of nursing care, acting as a resource for the care team and assisting with training and development.
  • Maintain NMC professional registration and comply with NMC Codes of Conduct, including record keeping and accountability.
  • Dispense and administer medication accurately, maintaining all required records.
  • Carry out effective stock control of medication and medical products.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of all residents’ personal information.
  • Be an active member of the care team, contributing to meetings and supporting new colleagues through induction and training.
  • Act as a named nurse for a designated group of residents.
  • Maintain mandatory training and participate in appraisals and supervision.
  • Undertake appraisals and supervision for allocated team members.
  • Support with vacancy enquiries and follow‑up processes.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Line Manager or Senior Management Team, consistent with the role’s purpose.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse with current
  • NMC registration
  • Experience in care of the elderly
  • Experience of working with dementia
  • Knowledge and experience of care planning
  • Professional, understanding, and patient with a warm personality
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and a supportive team player
  • Willing to train and develop colleagues
