Euxton Park Care Home is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated catering team.
Food plays an important part in our residents’ daily lives, and you will help the kitchen team provide nutritious, appetising meals while ensuring mealtimes are enjoyable and welcoming.

About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Chef and wider catering team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of meals, snacks and refreshments.
- Helping to ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard.
- Supporting the kitchen team with residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Washing dishes, cleaning equipment and keeping work areas clean and organised.
- Following food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH procedures.
- Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and food storage.
- Minimising food waste and helping to maintain good stock control.
- Working closely with the care team to ensure residents' nutritional needs are supported.
- Following all company policies and procedures.
- Promoting the wellbeing, dignity and choice of our residents at all times.
About You

- Passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Respectful of residents' individual needs, preferences and dietary requirements.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or care home environment would be beneficial, butfull training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
- A Food Hygiene qualification would be advantageous.
