About the Role
Priory Court Nursing Home is looking for a reliable and hardworking Ancillary Assistant / Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Shift Pattern
- Tuesday & Wednesday: Laundry Assistant (8:00am – 4:00pm)
- Friday: Domestic/Home Cleaning (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard across the home
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas (in line with food safety standards)
- Wash, dry, and organise residents’ laundry with care and attention
- Ensure all communal and private areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming
- Follow health & safety and infection control procedures at all times
- Work as part of a team to support residents’ wellbeing and comfort
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- A caring nature and respect for elderly residents
