We are looking for an experienced and confident Senior Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults and lead the care team during shifts. You will oversee care delivery, support junior staff, and ensure service users receive high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support care staff during shifts.
- Conduct spot checks, supervision, and mentoring of junior carers.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, medication administration, and daily routines.
- Update care plans and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and management.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, CQC standards, and company policies.
- Handle emergencies and expedite concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of care experience.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 preferred).
- Experience with medication administration.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
