We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults with their daily living needs. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care, promote independence, and maintain dignity at all times. This role may include working in residential care, supported living, nursing homes, or community settings, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
- Support mobility, including use of hoists and mobility aids
- Assist with meals and hydration
- Observe, record and report any changes in service users’ health or behaviour
- Support residents with social activities and emotional wellbeing
- Follow personalised care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate care documentation
- Work collaboratively with care teams, nurses and family members
- Uphold infection control and health & safety standards
Requirements
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Good communication and written English skills
- Caring, patient and trustworthy attitude
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
- Flexibility to work shifts if required (days/nights/weekends)
- Previous experience as HCA, Support Worker, Care Assistant
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Moving & Handling, Medication or First Aid training
