Position Overview

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.

We are currently seeking a per‑diem Medical Assistant with LAB Experience to join our team at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility located in Carlisle, Indiana.

Pay Rate Range: $20–22 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additional responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana Medical Assistant license or certification
• Minimum of 6 months laboratory experience
• Current CPR certification
• Corrections experience preferred, not required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check
