Centum Engineering is continuing to grow at pace, delivering major engineering projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. As our European operations expand, so does the team behind our people. We are now looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Global Mobility team and play an important role in supporting employees working across our international projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, HR, global mobility, immigration, administration or a similar regulated environment who wants to develop their career within a growing international organisation.
The Role
As Compliance Officer, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely management of global mobility and employee compliance processes. A key part of the position will be managing visa, immigration and work permit applications from start to finish, while maintaining accurate records and providing employees and internal stakeholders with clear updates throughout the process. You will also support the ongoing development of Centum's compliance procedures and help ensure our systems and records remain accurate, current and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing visa, immigration and work permit applications from preparation through to submission, tracking and completion.
- Ensuring employee immigration and compliance documentation is accurate, valid and in line with relevant legislation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for employees throughout visa and immigration processes.
- Monitoring application deadlines, document expiry dates and compliance requirements.
- Maintaining accurate Global Mobility and compliance records.
- Reviewing documentation and identifying missing or incorrect information before applications progress.
- Updating employee and compliance information accurately within BambooHR and Centum's internal systems.
- Ensuring Global Mobility dashboards contain accurate and up-to-date information.
- Supporting internal compliance audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Working closely with the Global Mobility Manager, European Tax Specialist and HR team.
- Liaising with employees, external partners and relevant authorities where required.
- Preparing regular updates and reports on applications and compliance activity.
- Identifying potential compliance risks and escalating these appropriately.
- Supporting improvements to existing compliance processes, controls and procedures.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing multiple processes and deadlines. Previous experience within a compliance, HR, global mobility, immigration or similar administrative role would be advantageous. The successful candidate should demonstrate:

Qualifications
Ideally, candidates will have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Relevant practical experience within compliance, HR, global mobility, immigration or a related field.
