We are currently on the lookout for a Deputy Manager to join us and assist the Care Manager in the day-to-day management of our care home, ensuring the highest quality of standards and care for our residents.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operational Management – Assist in daily operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and handle administrative tasks.
  • Staff Management – Oversee rotas, staffing levels, recruitment, training, supervision, and team development.
  • Care & Support – Ensure person-centred care, manage resident transitions, update care plans, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Medication Management – Complete medication audits, ensure compliance, and report any issues.
  • Incident Recording – Maintain accurate records of accidents, safeguarding events, and near misses.
  • Shift Management – Oversee daily care delivery, medication rounds, and lead handover meetings.
  • Communication – Liaise with healthcare professionals, residents, and families while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Training & Development – Stay up to date with training, support team learning, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Reporting & Documentation – Accurately record care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, incidents, and key communications.
  • Teamwork & Compliance – Follow company policies, attend meetings, and actively participate in training.

Experience

  • Residential Care: 2 years (preferred)
  • Care Industry: 3 years (required)

Qualifications

  • Right to work without requiring sponsorship or visa transfer (required)
  • Address that is within a commutable distance to Teignmouth (required)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (required)
