Operations Manager – Infrastructure Testing (Midlands Base, National Role)
We are supporting a major infrastructure testing business within a national group as they look to bring in a new Operations Manager to help lead the next phase of their growth. They’re involved in large-scale projects across aviation, highways and wider UK infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop operational teams across multiple sites, managing equipment, schedules, and time‑critical workloads.
- Collaborate closely with high‑value clients and senior leadership to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
- Drive commercial performance and maintain a strong focus on cost‑effective delivery.
- Plan and support national travel as required, working from the Midlands base with regular trips to client sites.
Qualifications
- Strong people‑leadership experience in fast‑paced operational environments.
- At least 3 years of solid commercial/civilian experience (private equity exposure is a bonus).
- Experience managing multi‑site teams, equipment, schedules and time‑critical workloads.
- Commercial mindset and willingness to drive performance.
- Experience supporting major projects or infrastructure programmes – a previous military background is welcome if paired with civilian commercial exposure.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to thrive in a rapidly scaling business.
