About the Engagement

B.E.S.T (Bespoke Elite Speaker Training) delivers high-impact communication and leadership development programmes to UK organisations. We are seeking a detail-driven independent contractor to support business development activity by researching UK organisations and identifying relevant decision-makers. This is a research and data role focused on accuracy and consistency. No sales, pitching or closing is required. You will source and verify contact information which feeds into an automated outreach process. All commercial conversations are handled separately.

Engagement Type

  • Self-employed contractor engagement (not employment)
  • Fully remote
  • Flexible working hours
  • Output-based relationship (not time-based)
  • Contractor responsible for own taxes, equipment and working environment
  • Initial onboarding and guidance provided

Scope of Work

  • Research UK organisations that invest in leadership and people development
  • Identify relevant decision-makers (HR, Learning & Development, People leaders etc.)
  • Source and verify accurate contact information
  • Provide structured data in agreed formats (spreadsheets / CRM systems)
  • Maintain clean, organised records
  • Flag duplicate or unclear data
  • Deliver agreed output and quality standards
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong online research ability
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, company websites and online tools
  • Experience working with spreadsheets or CRM-style systems
  • Self-starter who manages their own workload
  • Reliable internet connection and own laptop/computer

Preferred (Not Essential)

  • Admin, research, virtual assistant, sales support or recruitment support experience
  • Experience sourcing business contact data
  • Exposure to UK or international markets
  • Awareness of GDPR-safe data sourcing

Compensation

  • Monthly retainer of ZAR 18,000 – ZAR 20,000 based on experience and expected output levels
  • Performance and output review after the first 3 months, with scope for rate increase
  • Contractor responsible for own taxes and financial arrangements

Onboarding

Initial onboarding and training will cover:

  • Target organisations and decision-maker profiles
  • Required data standards and formats
  • Research process and quality expectations

Once aligned, the role operates with a high level of autonomy.
