Reporting directly to the leadership team, you'll shape the go-to-market strategy in the competitive open banking and account-to-account (A2A) payments space. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about fintech innovation and scaling merchant adoption in digital payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new merchants and expand existing accounts, with a focus on core verticals: E-Commerce, Gaming, Travel, and Health.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team that fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.
- Own the full sales cycle for enterprise deals: prospecting, pipeline development, negotiations, and closing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations to align on market needs, refine offerings, and accelerate integrations.
- Establish key metrics and reporting to track performance, forecast revenue, and optimize sales processes.
- Represent the project at industry events, conferences, and partnerships to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Drive expansion into new markets or verticals as we scale the bank transfer solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales experience in fintech, payments, or related SaaS/technology sectors, with at least 5 years in sales leadership roles.
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams, consistently exceeding revenue targets in enterprise B2B environments.
- Deep understanding of the payments landscape, including bank transfers, open banking, A2A payments, and merchant acquiring.
- Experience selling to merchants in high-transaction verticals such as E-Commerce, Gaming, iGaming, Travel, or Subscription services.
- Strong network in the European (and ideally global) fintech ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience at open banking or Pay by Bank providers where you've driven merchant adoption of direct bank payment solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments in payments (e.g., PSD2, open banking frameworks).
- Experience in fast-growing startups or scale-ups, navigating ambiguity while delivering results.
