About the role
We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Technician to join our team, welding and assembling precision components to high standards and customer specifications.
- Role responsibilities
- TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel and other exotic materials.
- Carry out precision welding using lathes, turntables and semi-automated equipment.
- Perform laser welding where required.
- Work from engineering drawings, weld specifications and assembly procedures.
- Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm.
- Work to tight tolerances, including straightness and concentricity requirements.
- Support weld procedure development and third-party welding approvals.
- Complete manufacturing documentation and maintain high standards of traceability.
- Support welding and assembly activities across Production, including occasional off-site work.
- Maintain and carry out basic checks and calibration of welding equipment and tools.
About You
We are looking for someone with
- Proven TIG welding experience.
- Excellent hand and eye coordination and attention to detail.
- The ability to work accurately to procedures, drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- A reliable, professional and team-focused approach.
- Basic computer skills.
Experience with precision welding, exotic materials, laser welding or certified welding procedures would be advantageous.
