Role Overview
The assistant will work with the Project Manager for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to assist other team members, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and managing project plans and schedules
- Undertake estimating of new projects
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks
- Assist in quality control and assurance processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting when necessary
- Predominantly office based, with intermittent visits to sites
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally some experience in project management within construction, fabrication, engineering, or contracting
- HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working with fabrication, steel structures, or mechanical installations (advantageous)
- AutoCAD experience a distinct advantage
