We are a steel detailing, fabrication & installation business based in Newton Abbot, who now seek an additional experienced Architectural Metalwork & Steelwork estimator. We produce a wide variety of work in both mild steel & stainless steel including:
- Architectural Metalwork
- Secondary Steelwork
- Structural Steelwork
The role involves:
- Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork & structural steel
- Reading and interpreting architects and engineering drawings
- Understanding, evaluating & populating estimating data into the company’s estimating systems
- Complying & assisting with H&S procedures & requirements
The candidate should have:
- Experience from a steel fabrication & installation background & familiarity in estimating steel fabrication / architectural metalwork
- Ability to use CAD software systems & 3D detailing in particular, is a distinct advantage
- Ability to use Excel, Word
- Driven by quality of workmanship
- Ability to work in a close-knit fast track business
- Good communication skills & able to liaise with Architects, Engineers & Clients
- Good IT skills & CSCS an advantage
