We are a steel detailing, fabrication & installation business based in Newton Abbot, who now seek an additional experienced Architectural Metalwork & Steelwork Estimator. We produce a wide variety of work in both mild steel & stainless steel including:
- Architectural Metalwork
- Secondary Steelwork
- Structural Steelwork
The Role
- Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork & structural steel.
- Reading and interpreting architects and engineering drawings.
- Understanding, evaluating & populating estimating data into the company’s estimating systems.
- Complying & assisting with H&S procedures & requirements.
The Candidate
- Experience from a steel fabrication & installation background & familiar with estimating steel fabrication / architectural metalwork.
- Ability to use CAD software systems & 3D detailing in particular, is a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Driven by quality of workmanship.
- Ability to work in a close-knit fast‑track business.
- Good communication skills & able to liaise with architects, engineers & clients.
- Good IT skills & CSCS an advantage.
