What you’ll be doing:
- Agree payment terms for tenant arrears, within the set business guidelines.
- Work effectively with internal departments to assist with customer queries.
- Ensure that all customer communications are responded to appropriately and in line with internal KPIs.
- Review accounts during each step of the credit control process to ensure all queries are closed prior to instructing solicitors.
- Work as part of a team on all general administration of the credit control & accounts shared inbox.
- Support other departments if funds are low and require urgent chasing.
- Support the other credit control team members in their daily duties.
- Carry out ongoing training to the credit control team, when required.
- Be a point of contact for other credit controllers, whilst supporting the credit manager.
- Complete client reports for Board members.
- Review late payment fee removal requests and remove as required.
- Contact solicitors when cases need to be referred due to non-payment.
- Respond to leaseholder/freeholder complaints in a timely manner.
- Run arrears reports on an ad hoc basis for property managers, head of finance manager and Directors if required.
- Constantly assess credit control procedures to make sure they are working effectively alongside the credit manager.
