About your team: At PH Jones, our mission is to mend it. Our teams have been at the heart of communities for over 50 years. Partnering with local authorities and associations, we support social housing across the UK – installing, upgrading and repairing heating and electrical systems. PH Jones are looking for a Tenant Liaison Officer to join our team. We are looking for people who are caring and empathetic, and who understand the support needs of a diverse cross section of customers in Wigan. Regular travel within this area will be required, so you will need to live within a reasonable commutable distance.

Please note: This is a fixed-term opportunity covering the Wigan area, with 12 month expected duration. Full-time, fixed-term contract, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Fully costed van & fuel card, full uniform, PPE, phone & laptop provided.

Your role will involve:

  • Managing tenant complaints
  • Visiting customers in their own homes
  • Assisting with the management of our installs and service programme across our social housing portfolio
  • Assisting our operational management team and planners, in gaining access to properties and making contact with tenants
  • Managing client relationships and working with them on access procedures, installation programmes and community engagement
  • Taking first line responsibility for safe, efficient, and effective work delivery, as well as customer satisfaction
  • Upholding PH Jones and British Gas company standards and policies at all times

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Social Housing or housing experience desired
  • Great organisational skills are required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • You need to be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail whilst working under pressure
  • Strong customer service skills and confidence in your dealings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A working knowledge and understanding of contract parameters and their implications
  • An in-date driving license with no more than 6 points
  • An ability to adapt to all PH Jones and British Gas standards, procedures and safety measures, whilst offering excellent customer service
